WHAT WE DO
RIZE UP! is a non-profit organization offering multi-faceted programs striving to give the tools to young men that society and the workforce have rejected for far too long.

Our halfway house and reintegration programs provide rehabilitation, support, encouragement, and counsel. We seek to provide this support during and after incarceration to help prevent recidivism, and to assist in fulfilling their family, employment, and educational goals. Families are in desperate need of unlimited resources to help break the cycle of recidivism. Without a doubt, every individual is a master of his own destiny. However, the power of community can inspire one to pursue a positive journey leading to a promising future. In the context of family, more specifically children; a young man requires the guidance and affirmation of a man to effectively evolve into manhood. Likewise, it is essential for young women to receive the love and protection of a man to securely blossom into womanhood. With the absence of these influences follows an incline of our troubling statistics.
OUR MISSION
Our Mission is to create a safe haven and recovery residence for newly released inmates. We reach our goal of rehabilitating our residents by providing individual and family counseling, job training, and opportunities to take part in community service activities.
The goal of our family therapy component is to help family members improve communication with their loved ones and heal their relationships as they reunite with their children and/ or spouse. Effective parenting while being physically disconnected due to incarceration is a major challenge. Therefore, we offer
family therapy that will assist with re-building a healthy bond, as well as reconciling and restoring a healthy family connection.
Our community service component encourages our men to give back to the community which fosters empathy, self- efficiency, and establishes team engagement abilities. RIZE UP!, Inc. empowers men and supports them toward restoring their self-confidence.
We believe that regardless of one's shortcomings, or failures; they are valuable, they possess purpose, and they too can lead prosperous lives. Upon completion, the men of RIZE UP!, Inc will believe this about themselves!
No matter the challenges these individuals face, this mission will inspire our men to rise up!

Shani C. Montgomery
Founder & CEO
She is Fearless, Passionate, and Dedicated to her cause. Shani has a calling on her life and is focused on reconnecting fathers with their children. Her mission is to keep men out of prison, preventing recidivism, and providing the necessary tools for men to be successful fathers, leaders, and members of society.
As a North Philadelphia native, her unrelenting goal has been to find ways to promote and bring change for generations to come.
Even with a career in healthcare, helping those who had been incarcerated with obtaining the tools to change their lives has always been her heart. RIZE UP!, Inc. becomes the tool to change generational curses, to provide hope where there was none, and to give men and their children the ability to dream and to achieve those dreams.
Where others criticize, Shani encourages. Where others pull back from challenges, Shani forges forward. When others have difficulty in finding an encouraging word, Shani’s voice comes through loud and clear.
